Kelly
Hi, my name is Kelly and I am the proud owner of Village care support Humber.
My background consists of many years working within the NHS within community nursing, anticoagulation and within rehabilitation. Rehabilitation is where I found a passion for assisting patients within their reablement to progress back to baseline to live as independently as possible. It was within this time working within the community rehabilitation team that I realised I could make such a difference and a positive impact providing care to those most in need, with assisting their daily needs and fulfilling a genuine passion of high quality care. It was then I decided to take the leap to start my own Homecare business with the dream of building a team that has the same values and mission as I do myself.
Village care and support Humber is all about providing our clients with an exceptional service which brings experience from passionate carers and ex professional NHS workers who unite to make the care industry classed as a profession. This is something I feel very strongly about and strive to make this industry a desired field to work with the right management and team around our staff.
I truly couldn’t think of working within any other sector. What could be more full filling than having such a positive effect on peoples daily lives and making someone smile knowing there is somebody there who they trust to help.
You can be anything you want to be in this life, but find what you love and you will never work a day in your life!
Hobbies and interests: I am truly a family person and love to spend time with my family making memories. I thoroughly enjoy walking and fashion, and have a true passion for photography.
Leigh
I have been a carer for over 12 years working in the community, working as an emergency response member, working in a care homes and providing 1:1 support with dementia patients.
I have always loved to make a difference to people’s life’s by helping others to stay as independent as possible and helping them stay in their own homes for as long as possible. Sometimes you could be the only face that person sees during that day, so I like to make them feel special, happy and safe.
Working at village care and support will make that possible every single day.
What I love about Village Care & Support Humber, is everyone has the same goal; to make a difference to somebody’s life.
KATIE
Hi, my name is Katie.
I have worked within helping the elderly since leaving school where I have gained many years experience of supporting others.
I grew up within Beverley and love coming back to my roots supporting the local community. Especially on social outings as I am very familiar within the area, which ables me to recommend the ideal locations for social outings within the area of Beverley.
I feel privileged to provide support from our service not only to our clients, but their families also. I can honestly say that working for Village Care & Support Humber is very relaxed and enjoyable. I do not feel as I am actually at work, as I truly love my job. It is a very relaxed and stress free working environment within our service. I feel really supported within my role and enjoy working as part of such a supported and dedicated team.
My interests and hobbies: I enjoy meeting up with friends for coffee and socialising. I also have an allotment that I love spending time on when I’m not working.
Lisa
My name is Lisa.
After spending over 20 years working in schools as a teaching assistant, I decided to change careers and move into the care profession. I had previous experience working in care earlier in my career, as well as more recently over the last couple of years.
I thoroughly enjoy supporting people to remain independent in their own homes. During my time at Village Care & Support Humber Limited, I have met some wonderful people and learned so much. It is a pleasure to work for the service, and it honestly never feels like I am “going to work” because I enjoy my job so much.
I am very family-oriented and love spending time with my children and grandchildren. Whether it’s getting up early on a Sunday morning to watch my grandson play football or cooking with my granddaughter, my days are always full and enjoyable when I am spending time with my family.
